JUDAICA STORE - KOSHER WINES
The Leuci family has been working in the wine-producing field for many years, carrying on the hard work done by Lucio Leuci since 1924. Nowadays, his grandchildren Francesco and Lucio devote themselves completely to produce high-quality wines, bringing to the fore the qualities of their native land. The grapes come mostly from their own property: Negroamaro, a classic Salento variety; Montepulciano and Chardonnay. The wine-making itself takes place only a few hundred metres away, in the family cellars in Guagnano (Lecce). Here, the grapes are processed according to strict protocols that guarantee the production of high-quality wines.
In 2013 the Leuci family was introduced to the Jewish culture and as a result decided to dedicate a small highly selected quantity of grapes to the production of Kosher for Passover wines. Over the next few years, the production of Kosher for Passover certified wines increased, and now includes ten varieties of certified wines, as well as the Kosher Le Pesach extra-virgin olive oil, produced in the family oil mill.
The Kosher certification from Rabbi Rottenberg guarantees the respect of an ancient religious law for all Jewish consumers. For non-Orthodox Jews and consumers of any faith, Leuci Kosher wines guarantee a high-quality product every step of the way through the wine-making process.

Chardonnay Mevushal Leuci comes from a careful selection of Chardonnay grapes grown in the sunny Puglian countryside. Its straw-yellow colour is pleasantly bold, with fresh and lively aromas that recall exotic fruits.

For this rosé, the Negroamaro grapes are carefully selected by hand and placed in crates. The care put into producing Cisaria makes it a wine of great body, but at the same time fresh and with intense and distinctive aromas

Fiano comes from the best Fiano grapes of Salento. Its colour is straw-yellow with greenish hues, its aroma is intense and complex with pleasing citrus scents and hints of tropical fruits. It has a fresh savoury taste, with a pleasant balsamic aftertaste.

Intense ruby red colour with dark garnet hues. Negroamaro Mevushal has a classic wine aroma, intense and fruity reminiscent of small black-berried fruits. Pleasantly bitter, with a full, round and dry taste.

Very intense ruby red colour with purple hues. Primitivo Mevushal interweaves a classic wine aroma with a floral scent, releasing hints of ripe red-berried fruits such as mulberry and plum. A full-bodied wine, suitable for long-term ageing. Nevertheless, its high alcohol content has a full, soft and persistent taste.
